Mark your calendars for February 28, 2026, when The Studio at Theatre Raleigh transforms into a hub of creativity and fun. In honor of International Commedia dell’ Arte Day, the talented teams at i Firenzi Commedia and Scrap Paper Shakespeare present an all-day Commedia and Shakespeare Jam Session from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Best of all, admission is pay what you can—donations around the price of a fancy coffee are suggested. So whether you’re a performance pro or just curious, there’s something for everyone!

Embrace the Stage: Perform or Watch

This unique event invites attendees to strut their stuff or sit back and enjoy the show. You can sign up for a performance slot, showcasing any scene, monologue, or performance piece—solo or in groups—up to 15 minutes long. Not comfortable performing? No worries! Enjoy the spirited performances from fellow budding artists!

Networking and Connecting

After each performance block, engage in 30-minute networking sessions—a wonderful opportunity to get feedback or simply connect with fellow theatre lovers. This event aims to create a supportive community where art flourishes without the typical pressure of formal auditions. Build relationships and gain insights into the vibrant theatre scene in our area!

Kick Off the Day with Classes and Performances!

Start your day at 11 a.m. with an Advanced Adult Improv class led by the talented Romni Rossi. This class is perfect for those looking to break the ice and sharpen their improvisation skills. After a fun-filled hour, join the networking meet and greet where you can mingle and share ideas with fellow participants from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Then, at 2:00 p.m., catch the official i Firenzi performance of “Everyone Wants to Get Lucky!”, bringing together the comedic spirit of Commedia and modern storytelling. Whether you’re a fan of Shakespeare or new to the genre, this day promises laughter and inspiration.
