Experience the Magic of the Pumpkin Flotilla
Get ready for a spooktacular evening on October 24, 2025, as the Town of Cary invites you to its annual Pumpkin Flotilla at Bond Park. From 4 to 7 p.m., the park transforms into a festive autumn wonderland where laughter and creativity thrive.
Get Your Pumpkin Ready
Planning to join in on the fun? Don’t forget to bring a carved pumpkin that’s about the size of a soccer ball and weighs approximately eight pounds. Make sure to gut and carve it at home – the parks department will provide a light and floating device when you arrive!
Remember, no extra-large or mini pumpkins will be accepted, and all decorations should be kept natural. This keeps the float beautiful and safe as your jack-o'-lantern gracefully sails across the shimmering waters of Bond Park Lake at twilight, around 6:30 p.m.
Fun for the Whole Family
The Pumpkin Flotilla is not just an event; it’s a cherished tradition in the Triangle area, combining community spirit and seasonal celebration. As the sun sets, witness the magical sight of lit pumpkins bobbing gently on the lake. If you miss the floating spectacle on the 24th, don’t fret! The pumpkins will be stationary the following night, glowing brightly as spectators soak in the enchanting atmosphere from the Bond Park Boathouse.
