Celebrate Community at Eno River’s Kwanzaa Gathering
The Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is set to host a vibrant Kwanzaa celebration on December 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Durham location (4907 Garrett Road). This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the Kwanzaa spirit, particularly focusing on the third principle of Kwanzaa, Ujima, which emphasizes collective responsibility and collaboration to uplift our communities.
Embrace the Joy of Togetherness
Join fellow community members as you partake in a Karamu, the traditional Kwanzaa feast, right after the service. Expect delicious food, rhythmic music from the fellowship’s house band, and an overall atmosphere of warmth and togetherness. These festive gatherings serve as a reminder of the communal bonds we share and the importance of working together to overcome societal challenges.
A Festival of Values and Unity
Kwanzaa is based on African cultural heritage and is celebrated by many across the United States. Each day of the holiday corresponds to one of the seven principles that encourage a sense of unity and cultural pride. Events such as this at the Eno River Fellowship provide a platform for families and individuals to connect over shared values and celebrate their community’s heritage.
