As Veterans Day approaches, the New Hope Valley Railway is offering a heartfelt thank you to military service members by providing free train rides. On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., active duty military personnel, reservists, national guard members, and veterans can experience a scenic journey on historic railroad tracks from Bonsal to New Hill and back.
Easy Access: Getting Your Free Ticket
To make it simple for service members to enjoy this unique experience, all they need to do is bring their military ID or a copy of their DD214 to the Ticket Office on the day of the ride. This event not only honors those who have served our country, but also allows family members to join the ride for regular fare. It's a great opportunity for a relaxing day out with loved ones.
Special Group Discounts for Larger Parties
If you plan to bring a group of 12 or more, discounted tickets are available for just $1.00 off per rider. This gives families and friends a reason to gather and celebrate the sacrifices made by their loved ones together on this memorable adventure.
